These are seven design mistakes, even if you are creating a budget friendly home, that we need to stop making when home decorating. Everyone deserves a home they love and feel inspired by. When we take new approaches to interior design we can create an expensive looking home on a budget or really make our larger budget take us a lot further! Anyone can create a beautiful home regardless of style or budget.
We need to stop designing for other people, listening to people without seeing their work, shopping only at big box stores, stop Marie Kondo-ing our lives, designing to sell, and stop letting budget determine style. The most important interior design rule is this one: We need to stop designing our homes and start designing our life. We get a choice, fit our life into our home, or design a home that helps us create our dream life. If we stop doing these seven things you’ll be able to design the home and life of your dreams.
